Founder and Broker of Breakwater Properties, Inc., Thomas Werbe (Tom) is a seasoned real estate broker with over two decades of experience in the dynamic Bay Area real estate market, showcasing proficiency in both residential and commercial sectors. His expertise spans diverse property types, including commercial buildings, single-family homes, and multi-family projects, with a cumulative value exceeding $150 million.

 

Tom started working in real estate in 2005 after obtaining his California real estate salesperson license. His motivation came from a deep passion for helping others, a natural aptitude for negotiating, and a desire to assist individuals in building and managing their futures through the opportunities offered by real estate ownership. With this background and a track record of establishing strong client relationships, Tom earned his California broker license in 2014, leading him to establish his own real estate brokerage.

 

Throughout his career, Tom has immersed himself in all facets of real estate, serving as a building owner, property manager, sales broker, and leasing broker. Tom’s comprehensive involvement in all aspects of the real estate transaction underscores his versatility and thorough understanding of the industry. Tom is recognized for his unwavering commitment to clients, his reputation for trustworthiness and diligence, and his adeptness as a leader.

Further enhancing his qualifications, Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Notre Dame de Namur University. Beyond his professional pursuits, Tom currently resides in Santa Cruz, CA, with his wife of 14+ years and their two young daughters. He actively engages with the community, contributing his time and efforts as a volunteer for esteemed organizations such as Holy Cross School and Surfrider Foundation. On the occasions when he's not working, you can usually find him hiking, surfing, playing a round or two of golf, and spending time with his family.
